My Testimonial
A few years ago, I stumbled upon a preview of the Brother Keepers Men's League, a men's basketball league in North Minneapolis. As I watched the interviews with players, coaches/players, and officials, I realized that I personally knew the majority of the men being interviewed from playing in various leagues for over 20 years and running a High School Boys Basketball league at that time for 14 years. What struck me the most was how each interviewee spoke passionately about the league's impact, where they not only came together to play basketball but also to worship Jesus. They emphasized the importance of men supporting men and the profound ministry aspect of the league.
This experience sparked a revelation in me. I started contemplating the most effective way to unite men, and I firmly believed that sports, combined with a Podcast where men can share their journey, and additional resources in mentorship/coaching and ministry held tremendous potential. In that moment, I envisioned a nationwide movement, where men from all walks of life could come together in a platform for men that fostered connection with insights, strategies, and stories from men pursuing more and breaking through challenges. I imagined creating a Podcast where men could empower and uplift one another, seek mentorship and life coaching, and witness firsthand the positive contributions made by good men to their families, children, and communities.
It became clear to me that men need Godly role models to effect positive change in their homes, jobs or businesses, churches, and communities. I strongly felt that this Podcast could provide a Christian setting where men could spend quality time, forge new friendships, and strengthen existing bonds. It would offer a unique opportunity for men to build godly relationships with one another and place Jesus at the center of it all.
With this vision burning within me, I set out to create a platform where men could gather and connect in a way that transcended the boundaries of mere sports and the development of the League Up APP. This would provide an opportunity where men could grow spiritually, support each other, and witness the transformative power of Jesus in their lives.
